Frances Jin, MHC-LP

(She/Her)
Individuals & Couples

I believe that all people are resilient, adaptive, and capable of change, even in moments when they feel stuck or disconnected in their lives. I work with adults and couples going through life transitions, in periods of acute stress, or those who are interested in gaining insight into how to live more genuine, authentic lives. I approach therapy from a collaborative, relational approach, believing in the importance of the therapeutic relationship built between clients and therapist as a tool for change.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade in the corporate and tech worlds. As someone who built a career in competitive environments, I'm interested in working with those who may be struggling to manage their own or others' high expectations, dealing with issues of identity, integration of multiple sets of values, and fulfillment in relationships.

I hold a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Hunter College, and a B.A. from Harvard University. I work primarily from a psychodynamic and trauma-informed perspective, but believe in integrating techniques from CBT, DBT, and mindfulness to support clients with symptom relief when appropriate.
